Added 2019-03-08 08:31:16 +0000 UTCI've considered the idea of a full-body outfit for Elayne in the past, but I haven't made much of an effort to build towards that. I happen to derive this concept from Vampire Hunter D, so it's by no means an original concept, nor something indicative of a prospective direction.
Not yet, anyway...
I actually lost my original renders of this piece, and I think they were probably better. That being said, this came out nice enough too. Compared to the last illustration shared, albeit still monochrome, the cool hue (splashes of blue) help to make the outfit feel less sterile, as well as the little complex bits of gold and the impressive red coat. The coat in particular stands out against all of the blue -- it's warm in a sea of cool and is therefore emphasized.
There's an Extra version inside the Dropbox Archive that resembles an old movie poster, so it's in black & white and has some typographical elements on it.
