Black Canary

This is a fairly quick sketch compared to the previous illustrations for this tier this month, and that's okay - I just don't want everything to be this style. I've done a solid amount of refined illustrations thus far this month though, so it's all good.

Based on her JLU portrayal, it's Black Canary. I imagine I could've more accurately depicted her face, but I don't really want to go for a 1:1 emulation of the art style. My only concern was whether or not she would recognizably be Black Canary had I not said who it was. The face is subtly different than how I might have done it otherwise though, so it's probably fine.

I think there's probably just a tiny bit too much visual noise in the edges of the underwear, with all of their detail crammed into such a small space. Probably the kind of thing I'd clean up more if I were taking this beyond a sketch.

In retrospect, she could likely look stronger with more opaque black in the design, but there is only so much that we can do with this bright, watercolour style. Too dark a set of colours, then we throw off the arrangement of values.
