[Patron-Only Feed] Only the deepest of deep lore allowed

I think the progress made in March was pretty good; a solid amount of illustrations all around. 

Some higher quality illustrations were drawn this month, and that was a pretty cool direction to dabble with. I hope to broaden the scope of what kinds of pieces I draw even further. We’ll have to wait and see what happens on that front though.

Given the amount of time that these prospects can take, remember to get in contact with me if you’re ever concerned about me not uploading. I do my best to make the Patreon experience the very best one that I can offer you, so if I seem to be going an extended period of time without making any noise, I may just be working on something to show off.

Time to Study

I’m not a very heavy podcast listener; I think it’s easy for me to lose track of what’s being said when I’m doing something else, forcing me to rewind and re-listen. However, I do occasionally listen to some creative ones, like Bobby Chiu’s content. In one of his recent videos, I remember talk about making room in one’s schedule for learning.

Technically speaking, we’re never done learning; we’re always developing our understanding of the world around us – and our practical skills too. But when you’re so busy that you don’t make the time to actively learn, your education is mostly iterative (and thus not the most concentrated).

I’d like to actively set aside some time to practice skills of mine that are weak or study subjects that will be of great use to me. This is something I’m going to try to do, so as I said earlier: if you’re concerned with any sort of radio silence on my part, simply nudge me a bit and I’ll get around to sharing what I’ve been hoarding.

Dedicated Galleries

Since the fall of Tumblr, I’ve been operating through Twitter & Patreon exclusively. These don’t offer the most accessible gallery-like feature for the masses, however, so I think I’m going to begin dedicating more of my time towards posting on DeviantArt & Pixiv as well.

Without a secondary NSFW Tumblr, most of my more off-putting content has had nowhere to go. Pixiv is where I can put some of that. It still requires users to have an account & log in to view my NSFW art, but it’s mainstream enough that I’m okay with it. If someone is an enthusiast of consuming art, they PROBABLY already have a Pixiv...

Concepts to Explore

Although I don’t have any concrete parameters to expect concerning these subjects, I do have an interest in exploring some concepts next month, so perhaps we’ll see something come from them.

Elayne Beaumont’s Tone

Sure, Elayne’s a cool character. She’s pretty much better than literally any REAL human being… But there’s still not very much we know about her behavior and the tone of the world she inhabits, or how the storytelling should be handled. I don’t draw comics very often (if you didn’t know), so I do not have a lot of practice when it comes to just… Doing them.

How much horror do I want? Do I want to be unrestricted and open to drawing the most terrifying subjects? How much sexy do I want? Do I want to just go outright pornographic? How do I want to treat this duality? How would the storytelling be? I'm not a very active storyteller, so what does that mean? Etc.

Stuff that I don’t REALLY know the answer to… So, I’d like to explore what Elayne Beaumont official content would ACTUALLY look like. 

Bodyslide

This is an idea that almost every one of my patrons must be aware of; the cutie who shape-shifts by using her phone. I’ve drawn the character here and there, but I haven’t talked about her much, or what the concept surrounding her character even is. I don’t even have a name for her.

When I asked what you guys might like to see in a future Concept Art & Discussion post, Bodyslide Girl was mentioned. So perhaps she’s something I’ll spend some time on in April. I think it helps for me to have some idea of what I’m going to write about BEFORE the month begins, because I need to conceptualize the idea, articulate them into words, create visual aids & sketches, then CLEAN the words, and then quadruple-check everything. It takes SO much time that being able to have my ideas in order BEFORE the week they’re due really helps. 

There’s one more idea but I’m too lazy to type it out right now. So, it shall be a mystery forever oooOOOOooooOOOOh.
