I just spent 15 bucks to watch a 20 minute video about some dudes feet. And I'm not mad. This will come up in therapy lol.

Thanks, Jason! I'll have to check those videos out. I only recently started learning about phylogeny, it's pretty rad ;) and monophyletic makes more sense to me, so it's cool to hear that Clint's in that camp!

Hi Shelby, Jason here. I can tell you that Clint is VERY much in the monophyletic camp. He has talked about it in a number of Phylogeny videos. He especially talks about it in the Patreon Extras videos of those Phylogeny videos. I don't know which ones, specifically though.

This isn't really related to the video, but are there any videos where Clint talks about paraphyly? I'd love to know his opinion in it vs strictly monophyletic taxonomy (bear with me if I got these terms wrong! I'm an engineer, not a biologist, lol)

So, in the first Shrek, Shrek and Donkey have their picture taken at the "welcome to Duloc" display. I think my expression for the last 23 minutes pretty much resembles theirs in that picture.

The GBBBOB... I'm thinking letters and an exponent (GOB^4) or something of the sort. On a more serious note, as a kid I saw a documentary about how bees see in UV and many of the less attractive flowers to the human eye looked like airport runways at night to the bees which directed them straight into the pollen pots if you will. Is it possible that tarantulas see on a different color spectrum than us that would give rhyme or reason to their coloration?
