Early Access Video - Sugar Glider, The Best Pet Mammal?

Hi Patrons, Jason here!

1.   Thank you so much for supporting Clint's Reptiles. You guys are amazing.

2.   As you have early access to these videos, please let us know if you catch any mistakes or export issues. They are bound to happen, and I would love to catch them before they get published for the unforgiving world to spot. You are our first line of defense!

3.   Sometimes we need to schedule the release of a video. When that happens, YouTube forces us to change the video status Unlisted to Private. Unfortunately, that cuts off your access. We try to delay this until Friday night (Mountain time zone), so be sure to utilize your early access before then.

4.   I try to get these Early Access Videos uploaded as early as Monday every week. Trying to maximize the early in Early Access Videos :). That doesn't always happen, but that is my goal.

5.   Comments in Patreon = I will see. Comments in YouTube = Clint will very likely see (and sometimes me too).

6.   You guys rock!

I have no desire to have sugar gliders as pets, but I'd love to hold one sometime.

Corvin Greene

I would also love to see a video on that very topic

I have had sugar gliders before and I can say that they do make terrible pets for most people myself included. I appreciate your diligence in conveying that in the video. People see a well socialized gider and buy one without realizing that, that glider is an exception and not the rule. This resalts in a glider that will most likely need to be rehomed, possibly even several times.

Would love to see a video on the “Wallace line” and the difference between Asian and oceanic species

Great video! You are right sugar gliders are not for everyone. I’ve tried them and I’m definitely not the right person for them. When you buy them at the pet store they are usually too old to socialize. Also the odor can make you unpopular with the rest of your family. There also is a lot of disagreement over diet and care. It’s a shame since they are so cute.

OMG YESSSS! I was hoping for this one! I also hope that you guys can go back to doing more pet videos. There are so many non-venomous snakes that have not been covered. I'm especially interested in the Rhino Rat Snake, and would love to see a head-to-head on the Rhino Rat Snake and the Baron's Racer since they are so similar. My house is small and only has room for so many snakes. I need help narrowing my picks down lol. My fiancé and I love the "Zoologist Reacts" stuff, too!

Thank you! I will re-export today.

The list of Patreon supporters is not scrolling, it is stuck in the same spot through that entire section.

I’m in Queensland, and in the bush around me, we have sugar gliders, feather tail gliders & greater gliders. Aswell as a host of other incredible marsupials. Yet our government would much prefer us keeping predatory & invastive species like cats, dogs & South American fish. I wish we could swap all those out for responsibly domesticated native animals. Damn I’d love a pet sugar glider or wallaby
