Early Access Video - Zoologist Reacts to Young Earth Creationists Round 2

Hi Patrons, Jason here! This one was cutting it close. #2 and #3 are especially relevant due to the late upload.

1.   Thank you so much for supporting Clint's Reptiles. You guys are amazing.

2.   As you have early access to these videos, please let us know if you catch any mistakes or export issues. They are bound to happen, and I would love to catch them before they get published for the unforgiving world to spot. You are our first line of defense!

3.   Sometimes we need to schedule the release of a video. When that happens, YouTube forces us to change the video status Unlisted to Private. Unfortunately, that cuts off your access. We try to delay this until Friday night (Mountain time zone), so be sure to utilize your early access before then.

4.   I try to get these Early Access Videos uploaded as early as Monday every week. Trying to maximize the early in Early Access Videos :). That doesn't always happen, but that is my goal.

5.   Comments in Patreon = I will see. Comments in YouTube = Clint will very likely see (and sometimes me too).

6.   You guys rock!

I really enjoy this series and how logically and kindly Clint approaches differing views. He is setting an amazing example of how discourse should be conducted for any differing views on any topic. This also hits close to home in a roundabout way. I've been atheist my entire life but my best friend, who I've know since elementary for almost 30 years, and her family are lifelong LDS and she is a molecular biologist, her mother is a virologist, and her father was a microbiologist. I was lucky enough to grow up experiencing their dual acceptance of science and God. I was therefore taken aback in university about how vehemently most people fell on both sides of the topic and have avoided participating in the discourse since because I would get crap from both sides as if science and belief could never be compatible. It is a little odd to say, but these videos warm my heart and give me hope. But most importantly, I would like to know Gus-gus's perspective. Is it a yellow target or head scratch response?

Gosh I was so excited for these when I got the patreon notification that I had to force myself to watch them at a godly hour, not at 3 am. All of you on the Clint's Reptile team are just WONDERFUL for continuing to approach this topic with this particularly brilliant format and I'm sending you all virtual hugs.

Until recently I have consistently stated my position, as such, as "atheist". I've now basically 'evolved' into what I describe as "agnostic". I've done so because I've realized I've no 'proof', one way or the other, as to whether there exists anything we might term as a 'god'. I've no idea what a 'god' is, or would be. I will say the 'god' story, as represented in our cultural milieu, e.g., the Bible, is not believable, simply from any understanding of human nature and logic. I appreciate your forthrightness in stating your position. I suppose it's not without some professional, or monetary, risk but so be it. Thanks!

Was really glad to hear you believed in God and are the dedicated scientist you are. I do not believe those two things are mutually exclusive and respect your videos immensely. You’ve taught me soooo much!

I am atheist and have no problem with you believing in God. I find it is important to surround yourself with people of different world views.

Bryan LaSala

I have no problem with the fact you believe in God, I don't see why anyone would. I'm on the fence about it, sometimes I lean more one way or the other. The only thing I dislike about religion is how it's used to justify hatred and bigotry against others, we all need to respect each other.

This has probably been the best response video to the Rogan/Carlson show. Very very informative, and an enjoyable listen.
