2024-09-25 01:47:01 +0000 UTCHello, The polyp produces clones of himself that go on and reproduce sexually. In another video, Clint said that male ants are half-clones of the queen and so are sperm. Furthermore I have heard anthills be called a superorganism, which would make the males its sperm. Is that the same thing the polyp does? Are medusa their own organism?

If not then no one should pay me any mind here, but I studied under him and he is considered by many to be a bit stubborn than he should be in regards to older science. He is by no means bad at being the “tyrannosaur expert”, but his ideas of tyrannosaurus not having lips is one of the few areas where he is most likely incorrect. There are certainly a number of adaptations it would’ve undergone to keep such massive teeth covered, but there are far more adaptations necessary for a large, fully terrestrial tetrapod to be able to maintain a lipless condition, and these are traits that would show in the fossils. Whether or not a lipless condition is cool is far from my place to say (I personally like both), but I thought it was worth mentioning since a lot of people take educational content creators’ words as complete truth.
