Early Access Video - What is the Future of Clint's Reptiles?

Hi Patrons, Jason here! This is a BONUS Wednesday video!

1.   Thank you so much for supporting Clint's Reptiles. You guys are amazing.

2.   As you have early access to these videos, please let us know if you catch any mistakes or export issues. They are bound to happen, and I would love to catch them before they get published for the unforgiving world to spot. You are our first line of defense!

3.   Sometimes we need to schedule the release of a video. When that happens, YouTube forces us to change the video status Unlisted to Private. Unfortunately, that cuts off your access. We try to delay this until Friday night (Mountain time zone), so be sure to utilize your early access before then.

4.   I try to get these Early Access Videos uploaded as early as Monday every week. Trying to maximize the early in Early Access Videos :). That doesn't always happen, but that is my goal.

5.   Comments in Patreon = I will see. Comments in YouTube = Clint will very likely see (and sometimes me too).

6.   You guys rock!

My vote is for animal diversity! Would love to take this class if it's available online. You guys have made me realize that I want to pursue a career in bio, so I'm thrilled to hear this is happening just as I'm looking at going back to school. Y'all are amazing, can't wait to see what the future holds!

Oh no, I just want to study all of these. Even if they don't at all relate to my career 😅

Animal Diversity sounds interesting, but I vote for Herpetology. I would have to take it online though (live on the east coast and wouldn't be able to travel for extended period). I'm a retired veterinarian and am REALLY interested in classes for veterinarians. Wouldn't really help me so much as interest me (since I'm not practicing) but it is very hard to get reptile or exotic animal experience in vet school or in clinical practice without making a lot of effort. In school (25 years ago) I did two clinical rotations at the Phila. Zoo, one in med/surg (when I had the privilege to learn from the late Dr. Kevin Wright) and one in pathology. But once I got out I only saw exotics very infrequently. It's hard to make a living at it unless you are board certified and work at a specialty center. BTW - You may already know this, but you probably won't be able to get many vets to attend your classes unless: 1.) they are taught by board certified vet specialists (e.g. ABVP or ACZM), and 2.) they are RACE-approved so that vets can get continuing education credits for them. If you can do that it would be terrific, because vets will trust the classes and the credits can go towards maintaining our licenses. You could always try contacting the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians for more info if you don't have any contacts.

I’m fine with either but but…dinosaurs? How can learn more about dinosaurs without going back to college?? I dream of going back to school only 🤑

What I want to know is the mechanism for how carbon dioxide becomes wood. The whole idea doesn't seem possible but trees exist, lol.

I'm glad I finally got around to financially supporting you guys. You guys are doing great work educating people about both responsible pet ownership, and biology. I hope your classes are successful.

Isaac Walker

My vote is herpetology but I will gladly take either course when they’re online!

I love this, Clint. This is truly a dream come true. I am looking to start a PhD next year in ornithology or herpethology. I am from Europe but I am considering going anywehere for a high quality educational experience. I am truly seeking advice and I don't know where to go. WIll Clint Academy accomodate PhD programmes?

Ana

Animal Diversity – and I absolutely cannot wait for the online classes!

Lio Benz

I vote for Herpetology!

Miles Keene

Animal diversity, looking forward to the online classes (I live in Europe)

Gryzzeline

Animal diversity gets my vote!

Cynthia

Animal Diversity, but honestly, whichever you're most enthusiastic about is going to work the best. I'd take either, given the opportunity and time as they both sound interesting. Or how about "Cephalopods, our future overlords" Oh, and thanks for #3 - I've seen that happen on channels and wondered if it was something weird on my end, and I feel better knowing it isn't :)

Hapalochlaena Lunulata

Animal Diversity, please. I really hope to come, but I may need to wait for online.
