[Blog] Mid-Week Update

The quality of this month's work has been solid, so it's already better than prior months. The additional freedom really helps improve the art, while commissions have also helped to pad out content during the week.

That said, I need to start growing the Patreon, because that consistent value won't matter a whole lot if I can't attain financial security. I don' know how easily I can accomplish that while also working on commissions though. Perhaps it won't be an issue if commissions dry up... but we'll have to see.

Problems

My current schedule allows me to take a day's break in between commissions, but I still find it difficult to spend time on other projects in between commissions. For example, it's tricky to commit to working on a comic when I only have 1 day to work before I need to resume commissions again - assuming I have the energy in the first place.

I already have plans for this month's concept art (as well as some ideas for other projects, like spontaneous comics and even scripts that are currently in progress). I just need to find time to actually spend on those things...

I must start balancing my time more effectively & prepare for work on these days... At least until I can afford to take less commissions (if ever possible).
