I disagree with you regarding Aaron’s sister and how she feels about her brother. First I would like to point out that everyone is different and it is possible that Aaron’s sister might have difficulty with confrontations or that because she loves both her brother and her father she doesn’t want to choose one side over the other. If his sister who loves both her brother and her father doesn’t want to get into the middle and chose one over the other it would make since that she would want all of her family to attend her special day (after all traditionally the father gives away the daughter at the wedding and she maybe no different). I also think Aaron’s sister really loves and respects her brother for his accomplishments and wanted to show him off not for “lip service” or as a show “pony” but because she is genuinely proud of her brother. This was her way to introduce the brother that she loves, respects, and is proud of to everyone there and to show that she supports him and accepts him for himself.

I have a theory that SomeBunny will need to confirm, deny, or say if I am close. First let me set the stage. According to the story, a witch who has little control over their magic may imbue (or place) half of their magic into an item which is called a familiar. This item could be real like Ansel’s pencil or even a figment of their imagination like a wand or something ethereal that may look alive that but only magic users can see that is completely under the witch’s control. Ansel is different though, weather it is because his magic is special or because Ansel and Evan have a metaphysical connection (sole mates or something), Ansel was able to give half of his magic to a living thinking independent human being. Considering how shocked Ansel’s witch teacher was when she touched Evan realizing that Evan was real and the fact that Ansel’s grandma guessed that Ansel made Evan into his familiar, I think it is safe to assume that this is the first time a human being has become a familiar or the last time something like this happen was before the witches counsel took control. My theory is that because Evan is a living thinking individual completely separate from Ansel there may be special situations where Evan can actually use Ansel’s magic. Especially in situations that involve Ansel’s physical or mental health. I honestly believe that Evan has actually already used Ansel’s magic twice already. Both times was during the Halloween special after the horror movie. First when the elevator was falling for the second time (when Evan and Aaron were jumping) it appeared (to me at least) that Evan was somehow able to stop the elevator from falling farther be yelling or thinking stop and holding out his hand 🖐. The second time was when a little later in the Halloween story when Ansel’s magic caused Evan to feel like he was falling and Evan shouted “STOP” and actually stopped falling (the picture even showed Evan holding onto what appears to be magic ropes as if he was in control of the magic).

He had the feeling of attraction initially around Ansel because of the love potion. He is attracted to ansels magic but he is under the impression that he's specifically attracted to ansel so he's convinced himself he loves him. If the love potion had been directed to Evan then Aaron would of thought he loved Evan and the magic would of made it stronger

I want to hug Aron. It’s sad because it’s like he gets lip service support from his family but nothing real. My sister would savage ANYONE who treated me badly, even if it was her own partner or our parents. She would never keep someone, even family, around that treated me the way Arons father treated him. But his sister and family still invite his dad to events with him, and then trot him out like a pony to prove how LGBTQ friendly they are. I’m not sure if my expectations are extreme or not. I think I’m from Ansel’s Grandmas school of dealing with homophobic family members.
