Added 2024-08-27 09:28:10 +0000 UTCThe situation has worsened for us. Due to my father's ischemic stroke, I am now forced to spend almost $7,300 per month on his treatment. If before we were barely managing, now without these $7k, we are in deep trouble. We have plunged into debt and honestly don't know how or when we'll be able to pay it off. We're simply out of money. On top of that, donations have significantly decreased, and prices and taxes are rising.
I don't know how we can survive without substantial support from outside. No organization wants to help us because they need a picture-perfect image, but unfortunately, we don't have time to create that image when we have dying little ones in our care.
Now, the power outages have started again, and we have many heart patients who can't be in the heat. The government and companies don't care that we have sick animals in our shelter and that we can't go without electricity. We only get electricity for 2 hours a day, and no batteries can last through that. A generator is an unaffordable luxury for us, especially with gas prices, and unfortunately, there's nowhere to even set it up.
I am urgently asking you, friends, to help us not only with donations but also by inviting your friends to become our patrons. Without increasing the number of people who help us and without more donations, we simply won't survive.
