RE:"Ghosting" & Taking a break from Commissions

Hey guys!

Ok, now that March is behind us, I'm gonna be taking some time to attend to some real-life administration on my end, which means I'll be taking a break from doing commissions for at least a month. What does this mean for you, the Patron? Well, the Patron packs may be a bit thin for a while, but don't worry! I'll still do my best to make updates worthwhile with at least a Waystone page and whatever work I can include for that half of the month.

Moving on, I've noticed I'm still getting a sharp decrease in patronage near the end of the month, just before cards get charged. I'm also seeing a good bit of declined pledges on my end, artificially inflating the number on my front page.

To combat this, starting on the 5th, after pledges have been completely processed, I'll be banning accounts I've seen the following behavior from:

1. Constant declines

2. “Real” display names (unless they've successfully pledged in the past)

3. Outlook based email addresses (unless they've successfully pledged in the past)

Patreon completely removed the ability to simply delete pledges, instead opting to replace it with a ban option. If you get banned, rest assured it's not because of any animosity, and chances are if you send me an email (Scapponess@gmail.com) asking to be able to pledge again I'll unblock you, but I'll keep an eye on your account to see if your card successfully gets billed during the next billing cycles. If it doesn't your email address will be perma-banned.

If your card declined for March, please remove your pledge. Otherwise, your account will be banned on April 5th until you request otherwise.

Also, just so you know, if you've pledged, but your total successful pledges show a $0 amount, you won't be receiving an image pack until you've been successfully billed at least once. It's been this way for awhile now :).

To be fair, I'll make it easier for you ghosters and make the feed available to the $1 tier from now on (because I know some people just wanna keep an eye on the feed)...just please downgrade your pledge & stop artificially inflating the amount on the front of my Patreon ;).
