"Saint or Sinner" sketch
Added 2016-11-07 01:06:44 +0000 UTCI changed the theme of this image from the sketch to a more gothic, almost Castlevania-like theme and I think I really like it :3...I'm hoping I can make this clothing work as well because it's kinda reminiscent of Dr. Strange and I've ALWAYS loved the good Doctor. It's nice to know he has a good movie now :).
Anyways, I'm conflicted as to whether I wanna keep Nailah's symbolic halo...She's obviously not perfect which I'm hoping will lead the viewer to ask why she'd have a saint's halo in an illustration, and subsequently to question whether sainthood is truly conferred on the pure of heart, or merely the pure of ambition.
That's not a jab at ACTUAL saints, mind you...I just want to explore Nailah's moral ambiguity inside the Waystone universe using familiar religious structures I guess.
Does anyone have any coherent thoughts about this because I sure don't hahah ^_^:;...I might ditch the halo if it makes too many waves I dunno...
