They're hidden. You have to look really closely. I mean really, really closely. See them? Yeah there you go. They're hot, right? Yeah, I thought you'd like 'em X3...
No but really, backgrounds are simultaneously the most boring part, and one of the most important tasks of a lot of projects. Sure, there's a place for simpler stuff that lacks a background, but when we're talking about a telling a story one of the most important things to establish is enviromnent and tone.
The beginning of this comic is supposed to be a little sad and hopeless, hence the desaturation and the rain, except for the middle of the bus shelter in the first panel, which denotes a small ray of hope and warmth in the middle of the storm.
I actually kinda like doing backgrounds, but they usually don't get a lot of recognition because...well...they're only periphary to the "action". I'll tell you what though- if they weren't there, you'd notice!
Gosh, it's actually really hard to make it rain and have it be convincing...stuff you didn't think could shine DOES shine in the rain XD.
Just putting the final touches on pages 1 and 2 and I'll have them to you soon! Until then, just enjoy the tits hidden in these backgrounds...mmm...juicy.....
