It was the afternoon of the third and final day that I had been dispatched to the Lake Village.
Ruina sat in the rocking chair in the living room as she usually did. I stood silently in the corner to over the past few days simply watched her.
After a while, Kiella appeared, though she hadn’t been there before.
“Ruina, are you knitting?”
“Yes, yes. Where have you been?”
“I just finished some laundry.”
Since Ruina disliked crowds and had no servants, all the household chores were left to Kiella.
“It’s been a while since you last washed the blanket, hasn’t it? Did you wash it again?”
“Don’t worry. I’m fine. It’s enough for you to talk with me like you are now. Now, I need to clean the floor.”
As Kiella turned to get the cleaning supplies, I suddenly spoke.
“Ruina.”
“Yes?”
"What are you trying to do?“"
"Don't worry. I’ll let you clean it.”
“I’m glad it’s going smoothly. But since your opponent is Kiella, don’t let your guard down. I believe you’ll be fine, but…”
“Got it. You don’t have to worry.”
Changing the subject, I added, “By the way… Well…not tomorrow. What’s the training for today?”

“Vice-captain?”

"I'm glad you’re in a good mood, too! Is it because Senior Dayke came back?” Fine added with a grin.
“Ah… you’re not really into those kinds of things, right? I’ll bring you a book without anything like that!”
“No!”
“Eh?”
Caught off guard by Fine’s reaction, Rize hesitated a moment before continuing.
