I waited with Sujeong in front of the building, making sure we timed it just as Yeonji’s class ended. As soon as she spotted me, she came running and threw herself into my arms.

She almost lost her balance from the way she rushed over.

 Yeonji always expresses her emotions with her whole body. This time, she crashed into my chest with such force that it nearly knocked me over. Fortunately, I managed to stay upright and wrapped my arms around her. She rubbed her face against my chest like a happy cat, clearly thrilled to see me.

The attention we were getting was hard to ignore.

I had only hugged my girlfriend after meeting her, but the number of stares we were getting was intense. While public displays of affection often get a few side-eyes, the looks we were receiving weren’t just annoyed—they were downright hostile.

“You do know Yeonji is really popular, right? Even though everyone knows she has a boyfriend, there are still a lot of guys chasing after her… like, a lot.”
