The group in the forest had set up two tents and a fire pit. Rick was yet to return, so they chose to assemble around the fire to keep themselves warm.

"Well, I can't disagree with that. I had assumed that he must be good but he surprised me."

"Yeah, even among the kids from the capital he must be extraordinary."

Another man remarked. At this point, everyone knew that Mrs. Jane had accepted the boy as her student.

"I must talk to Amelia about the kid. The things he told us, I never knew that such a young kid had to go through such disasters."

Eliza had a concerned face, leading Greg to comfort her.

"It's okay. Kids sometimes do end up finding themselves in precarious situations. The thing you should be relieved about is his teachers, who always come to his rescue no matter how dire the events are."

Both from her voice and her tone, Rick can tell that she was still mad at him concerning their recent escapade. Seeing her remove her armor, he approached her from behind and hugged her tightly.

"You and your stupid logic.. huh.. leave me alone, I got to sleep."

How can Rick do that? It was time to finally reap the benefits of stopping midway earlier in the evening.

"You can't do that. It's time for us to spend some quality time together."

"Easy there... no need to try too hard."

Rick declared in frustration. He was referring to the lack of any adventure on their trip. Now that the sun had fallen, the group decided to set up their camp in the middle of a wide clearing. Everyone rolled their eyes at him, except Jane who knew the real capabilities of the kid.

"Hahaha.. what a crazy brat.."

 The men laughed at his antics and no one paid him any attention after that. Rick knew there was no use crying over the matter. So what if the biggest beast they came across was a random hog? There was still time for them to further explore the forest.

"Who is going to hunt?"

 Greg raised the issue of their dinner with the group and everyone turned their heads towards the boy who was busy diligently fixing his tent.

"Huh..? You guys didn't bring your rations?"

"Stupid... Always remember that the rations you bring here are strictly for emergency use. While in the wilderness you should always hunt your own food."

Rick can't argue against that. He took it as his lesson.

"Then leave that to me. I will see what I can find."

He knew what he was going to hunt for today.

 "You and Mrs. Jane can do that. We will start the fire."

Of course, he will not be allowed to venture alone into the woods.

"Don't mess around!!"

Jane sneered back at him, refusing even to look at the boy.

"What are you planning to hunt?"

She changed the topic unwilling to take part in any sort of debauchery with her student. Though dissatisfied, Rick chose not to push his luck.

 "We recently saw that demonic hog. I believe I would serve for at least two days."

Jane was shocked at the sheer guts of the boy.

"You do know that I am only here to save your life in case of any threats, other than that you can expect any help from me."

"I can handle it."
