"When do you think you can heal completely?"

 She questioned him while looking down at his bandaged leg. Rick smiled wryly.

"Two weeks at least before it heals completely and another one to two weeks to start my training again. That's what mother told."

"That's so long. Please heal faster otherwise I will leave you guys behind haha.."

Ira joked causing both of them to laugh together.

 "Let's go, Ira."

 They heard a voice and Rick felt Ira's lips press on his cheek as the girl ran off.

Sitting with his injury, Rick didn't know how to feel about this entire situation. He dearly loved her, but after the incident in the forest, her actions always kept bugging him. It was both of them who had to jump in front of her just to save her life.

Had Ira given everything she had got in the battle, they might have actually been able to run away with Tyler. With one ankle cut off, they just had to cut off the other ankle and the troll would have been immobilized.

 'She must have frozen from the terror.'

 That's the only explanation he could think of for now to describe her lack of initiative.

Tyler had warned him a few times about Ira's self-centered worldview, but he kept on ignoring him out of his love for the girl. Even now, his head was spinning tales as to why Ira chose not to fight.

"What are you so grossed about?"

Jane saw stare into the distance with a blank look on his face.

 "Nothing."

 He responded with a resplendent smile and she helped him get back to his feet, bringing him inside.

Jane seated him in his chair before serving their breakfast.

 "You should get better in a hurry. The boy is rather handsome, don't come crying if he picks your girl away hehe.."

 Jane chuckled and Rick didn't put her warning to heart.

"It will be fine. Ira is not so naive."

 "Every maiden is naive."

They talked for a while when Rick changed the topic.

"What about your missions? If you want the just drop me with Tyler, we can take care of each other."

He was aware would need to be together if they wanted to take up a mission from the guild, that's why he was worried that their mess was going to drag them down as well.

Jane snorted and gave the boy a weak slap to his head.

 "If you are so worried then how about listening here for once?"

 Rick hid his face which was red with embarrassment. For sure they ended up concocting a much bigger trouble this time around.

"I am not going anywhere. I got the other brat to train, don't I? You think I am doing that for free?"

 Rick was relieved.

 "Focus on getting better. Don't act like a man of the house, your little shoulders are much too weak for that."

He was dissatisfied but chose to keep quiet for now.

"Not like this.."

Away from Jane's house Ira and Felix reached their training grounds. The boy swiftly displayed a few sword slashes for the girl to follow along. She seems to be failing at copying his exact moves, disappointing him.

"Ahhh.. I tried so many times. It's very difficult."

 Felix rubbed his forehead and then dropped his weapon. Without saying a word, he grabbed her arms from behind and began helping her out.

"Do it like this.. here.. you see?"

Ira was speechless.

She grew flustered, causing her to miss the move by a big margin.

"Hey.. where is your mind, girl? Focus.. we can't keep doing this the whole day."

 Ira shook her head, realizing that it was her fault for thinking too much about it.

 "Here... I will show you again."

"Good.."

 After a few more tries, she managed to perform the move with the required proficiency. Felix clapped his hands in the environment. Ira only blushed further.

 "You want me to show the next one as well?"

This continued for a few hours until the sun was directly on their heads. Ira was exhausted and asked to return home.

"Let's go together. I got some task at the guild house."

"Sure."

"I will definitely master all those sword moves by tomorrow."

"Yeah.. yeah.."

Camilla was working on her desk when a hand down 4 silver coins. She recognized the grinning face to be the brat from yesterday.

Cleaning him up he let Tyler have his beauty sleep. Stepping out of his room, he found himself walking to the kitchen.

"Hey there, sweety.. you are up quite early."

Holly was already there working on her chores.

He picked a bottle of water for himself and poured it down his throat.

"Very good morning."

She went back to brooming the floor. Rick stood in his placet.

 "You can be quite a diligent wife."

He saw Holly turn her head and roll her eyes.

 "What does that supposed to mean, brat? Are you telling me I am not always a diligent wife?"

 Rick enjoyed teasing her.

Holly turned her head once again, this time staring for much longer.

"Did something happen to you? You are talking quite maturely today."

Rick can only scratch his head.

She bent over, laughing to herself and sweeping the floor.

 He patted her head causing the lady to make faces at his attempt. Rick didn't mind her

"Good morning..... want to hop on?"
