Hospital stay

Hi guys,
Just an update on my health. I was in the hospital the night before last because I really had trouble breathing. I needed to go to find out if there was something wrong more than I knew. It's actually an exacerbation of my COPD. The doctor was shocked about how much mucus I had in my chest. It's very tight in my chest and there's a lot of stuff in there. They checked my heart and that was fine and also did some other testing. Everything came back good. They need a test x-ray also.

They put me on a course of steroids and let me go home. It was about 7 hours in the ER. The scary part was sitting in there with a lot of sick people. There was one guy in there he was throwing up uncontrollably. I sure hope I don't get any of that because that would be horrible with me already not being able to breathe well.

I will never be able to breathe like I used two years ago, but this is horrible. I can barely walk from one room to the other without having to stop and breathe.
I think the steroids are helping a little. The first is they gave me in the hospital was a higher dose. Now for the next 3 days I just have to take one small pill once a day. Hopefully that will be enough.

I am supposed to get rest but they gave me the steroid around 10:00 p.m. in the hospital and now I have to keep taking them at night. I really do believe they keep me awake more than I usually am.

I've been sitting up since 4:00 a.m. and only slept a few hours. It's now almost 8:00 a.m. and I feel like I want to go back to sleep. I hate how my sleep is messed up because I'm tired in the day.

With all the animals and them about to start howling soon, I don't know if I should go back to sleep. My daughter winter helped me feed the dogs in the morning and give Benny his eye medicine. My roommate also helped me in the evening with the dogs and Benny's eye medicine. That was yesterday. I don't know how today will go.

I just wanted to update you all. Hopefully I will get better soon.

As I always say, be safe be happy and be healthy.
See you next time.

❤️

Hospital stays are no fun, especially in the ER. Glad you are home and hopefully making a speedy recovery!
