11/19/24 Status Report

Hey everyone! We've been hard at work on v0.13 of Hazelnut Latte, so let me tell ya where we're at.

Coding

We were having some problems getting the new cellphone system to work, but we think we've solved the big problem stopping us and hope to have it completed soon! Once that is done, we will connect Notos to the map and make it functional.

Animation

There are 13 Lewd Scenes in v0.13. At the moment, only 2 are animated. However, our animator is free from school, so they're kicking into full gear to get them done.

Art

All the art needed for v0.13 has been completed! If we discover that we need more art as we progress in development, it will be easy to pivot Kokman back, but for now, he is working on future stuff.

We are still chipping away at creating assets for the Coffee Minigame. We have a guest artist working on unique unlockable cards for the seven main love interests.

Writing

I thought I only needed to write 1 lewd scene in my last update, but I needed to write 9. I completed 2 of them today, bringing the game's new total word count to 126,075 words.

This was a bit of a goof as I thought I had finished that section, but I guess not! Ah, well, no problem. I plan on spending my time writing those scenes this week, but it may go into next week. Writing several lewd scenes back to back is a bit draining creatively.

Which brings us to the big question:

When can we expect v0.13?

People love to ask, and while I love the excitement, it can be draining to repeat myself.

The tentative release date is before the end of the year.

We need to get all the lewd scenes animated, the episode fully connected and working correctly, all the new systems working with each other, it playing well, etc. So, a lot of work needs to be done, and we want it to be perfect.
