New Year Status Report

Hello, everyone. It's been a while since I've posted. I've been grieving and trying to recover mentally. I don't think I'm 100%, but I am enough to start working full-time again.

So, what are we working on?

Our publisher wants us to have a demo ready for Steam Next Fest at the end of February. We need it ready by the 15th of this month, so we are fully dedicated to that!

We are 85% done with the v0.11.8 demo, which has some improvements and reworked scenes. It also fits with the newer episodes 1 through 5.

We also plan to release v0.12.5, which will include many improvements—mainly some scene editing and rewriting. The UI will also be better, guiding players on what to click to advance.

We are also changing the game's aspect ratio. Currently, the game is 3840x2160, which looks great, but it crashes on some older/weaker devices, and the files are too big. We have already moved the mobile version to a 1920x1080 aspect ratio and are doing the same for the computer version. This will reduce the size and performance. The only real issue is that everyone's savefile thumbnails will look wonky. But the game still looks fantastic!

After we complete this demo business, we will release it on Itch, make a v0.12.5, and continue with v0.13! Note that v0.12.5 will not contain new Content, just updates and fixes.

We also hired a new animator, ErassdZen! They will be animating the revamped Ep 1 animations while Koth works on the v0.13 animations. Two animators will hopefully speed up development.

On the art front, Kokman has finished redrawing the lewd scenes for Episode 1 and is now working on a cute Tutorial Character to improve our in-game tutorials! After that, he is redrawing the Evil Death Cosplay lewd scenes, which he has already sketched and look fabulous.

And that is it for now! I am trying to take it easy, but I need to finish this demo. I appreciate all the kind words and messages <3 I might not have been too responsive since I tend to deal with things independently, but they were lovely.
