Captain's log, supplemental. We are in orbit above Turkana Four, an Earth colony that severed relations with the Federation nearly fifteen years ago. The Enterprise arrived at the planet three days ago in response to a distress call by a Federation freighter who crashed on the planet. The crew of the freighter is now being held captive by one of the two factions on the surface of Turkana Four.
After making contact with the planet we quickly learned the two factions are at a standstill in their twenty-year war. Having resorted to extensive genetic manipulation both factions developed regimens of super soldiers whose strength easily surpass that of even our own android commander Data.
However the war destroyed their world, forcing them to live in the tunnel cities below ground, both factions have now agreed to implement genetic inhibitors in all their soldiers, limiting their abilities to only a fraction of what they had been before.
The faction holding the hostages is unwilling to discuss the release. Initial attempts to send down a rescue party resulted in the death of two security officers and injury to Luitenant Worf. Even with their inhibitors, these genetically modified soldiers are impressive. Phasers set to the strongest stun setting did nothing to slow them down.
Having made contact with the opposing faction we have beamed aboard Ishara Yar, sister to our former security officer Tasha Yar. The faction Ishara belongs to seems willing to help us retrieve the freighter crew.
The Federation has outlawed any use of genetic modification and it is with reluctance that I give Doctor Crusher permission to remove the inhibitor chip in Ishara Yar. Unable to remove the chips without dying themselves, this will give Ishara's faction an overwhelming advantage over the others. But my foremost responsibility is to save the freighter crew.
I have made it abundantly clear to the leader of Ishara's faction that if Ishara does not agree to reapplication of the chip after this mission, we will make the technology available to everyone, in essence escalating the war to the level of potential destruction it was several years ago.
Hoping this is enough to keep Ishara from going outside of mission parameters, I have asked her to report to Doctor Crusher for the removal of the chip. As a token of good faith I have only commander Data escort Ishara. However, if she decides to turn against The Enterprise after regaining all her strength, I doubt any security detail, any force field will be able to stop her.

It was fun to try and reimagine this episode as FMG. Ishara Yar, often seen as the prettiest girl to feature on TNG. Do you agree with that statement?
