The heatstroke lasted for over a week now. The streets were vacant. the only sounds outside were of AC units working overtime. The trees in the streets were dehydrated and stood stiff from the lack of wind. The AC repair guy was the only one on the road today, even with his car AC on, he still felt his uniform stick to the seat of the car. He cursed for his bad luck on having emergency call duty this week, the record hottest week of the century.
Driving up to the house that called in an AC faillure he opened the door to his car, only to be hit in the face by a blanket of almost scorching heat. He rang the doorbell. He heard loud thuds approach the door, a large shadow blocked the light from the hallway on the mat glass door. Slowly the door opened with a creaking sound to reveal the behemoth Gemma.
The air from inside the house felt as hot as the outside air. Her body was humid and sweat covered. She only wore shorts and looked at him with a friendly smile, like she was oblivious or uncaring for the state she was dressed (or rather undressed) in.
"Pardon my attire" She smiled. "It's quiet the climate in here as you can imagine."
The repair guy looked up at her dumbfounded. He felt his heart throb and his body temperature rise beyond dangerous levels. Unable to understand he could feel even hotter than he already did.
Gemma knew she had that effect on others and grinned. "Now are you gonna keep standing there or are the hero I was waiting for to save me from this heat?"
