I love Dj Rap. But I must say I and plenty of others would say Shyfx and UK Apache - Original Nutta is the biggest Jungle tune. And my knees are f-ed up now from dance to Jungle 🤣

It always kills me how you think it’s behind just because it’s different. How can it be behind when these are original genres that never existed before? Nobody was tryna replicate or compete with hip hop, it’s not a subgenre of hip hop. It’s like saying hip hop was behind dancehall, doesn’t make any sense. Jungle, garage, drum n bass, house, trance etc are EDM (electronic dance music) sub-genres. These pioneers came from acid house raves, nothing like hip hop

Fair play you started from Jungle...ep. 2 Garage is more fun to watch also the lead up to Grime ep.3. The series seems to focus on a few UK genres that are significant to black British culture. Soul and Motown were really popular in UK so yes there were British interpretations. There were British hip-hop crews about in the 80s and 90s, but it was underground and many used fake American accents 💀 I've only been able to find one YouTube channel with this series and it was different to the one you played. Hopefully your one has fewer audio cuts, in ep. 2 Garage there is one and ep. 3 a couple. Episodes after a lot more. Maybe you can find it on one of your streaming sites.
