Grime will always be around in the underground, like when drill took over London, Birmingham were repping for the scene, the torch will just be passed round. The UK scene is more diverse for rappers/MCs coz we're big for raving. DnB/Jungle, UK Garage, Dubstep for UK genres and Dancehall will keep the art of MCing going as long as people keep going out. DnB and Garage are over 30 years old now, DnB went global and Garage is popping again. Dubstep evolved same era as Grime and we all know what happened to that 😭 (I will recommend a good YouTube series called That UK Sound by BearingUK that covers how these genres evolved - he's working on a Grime series atm). I do think in 10 - 15 years time it will be interesting where the UK ends up, as drill dominated the scene for a good chunk but there is such a small handful left even now of the talented ones, who will stick around another 10 years?! So will probably have our mumble era like US lol. Btw there is also a Boom-bap scene in UK that's always been around the underground too.
