My next comic will be an introduction to the Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee. I haven't had time to start it yet, so I thought I might encourage any of you here to join ongoing efforts to support incarcerated people.

There are many ways to support incarcerated people, depending on your capacity and ability. Responding to correspondence, gathering information about the conditions people on the inside are facing, organizing direct actions based on requests from people inside, running campaigns of education to publicize the cruelty of the prison industrial complex.

The work of prison abolition is difficult, but crucial, and also an excellent way to gain organizing experience.

If there is not an IWOC branch near you, I recommend reaching out to iwoc@iww.org to get support in starting a local. There are ample resources available to help. You will not need to do anything alone.
