I mean, she is teasing him a lot, and is forward very often. But she has a very, very shy side too. Like, she can't even tell him directly, that the gift was from her. For him who is never noticed by anyone, it is not something he would expect, especially because I think he thinks she only teases him, but doesn't get the reason at all.
