Very cool, my man. This is what makes history so exciting: The little, obscure, fascinating stories that never circulate.
Thank you for sharing!

Noted! I'm trying to keep an eye on watchtime and not make the videos too long.

Great video, as usual! A few months ago I made a video about my hometown's early days, and it has a wild west feeling to it (even though it was founded in the 1920s), due to the rowdy crowd that moved in to work the oil boom. The Texas Rangers had to come in and basically impose martial law to get it under control. https://youtu.be/VIYaHGVItN8

Always my pleasure to view and listen to your work, bud. Glad you caught some of Hell on Wheels but you're right- it does sound like a motorcycle gang! 😂 love you, my boy. ❤️

Thanks ma!
Loved Hell on Wheels, although only watched the first two seasons.
Terrible name for a show. Doesn't at all describe it. Sounds like a motorcycle gang show. Almost missed it!

Col, this was awesome! I loved listening and have always been interested in this period in time - especially sociologically. You did a great job with this. Give me more, please?! 😉 Have you seem "Hell on Wheels" on Netflix. Fascinating. I think you'd like it.❤️

Loved this episode. I'm really interested in the subject and was a big fan of the Ken Burns doc The West. It's a terrific primer for anyone wanting a clear view of the west before going into books to find out more.

As an European I really like these episodes. We don’t learn a lot about American history. I got some knowledge of the European history and it is nice to compare the events in the same time period. To think this ended only just before WO1 (“Arizona and New Mexico becoming states in 1912”).
