Predictable.

I dunno what they're thinking with that.

Colin Moriarty

Thank you!

Colin Moriarty

Loving this style of coverage! Thanks!!

Andrew Bonnell

Only thing I wanted out of their press conference was Mass Effect trilogy remastered. 😢😢😢

Matt Matlock

I'm sure money spoke loudest, but his presence will hopefully help get things straight over there.

Colin Moriarty

It may fail, but as Tony said, that'd probably be the end of the line for BioWare.

Colin Moriarty

Yeah, I thought Andrea did a nice job, personally.

Colin Moriarty

Thank you! I just wanna say what needs to be said... nothing too long or too short.

Colin Moriarty

You're very welcome. I hope you enjoy the rest of the videos as I roll them out.

Colin Moriarty

I'm a tad confused why anyone thought EA's press conference was going to be anything but what it was.

Colin Moriarty

Thank you! The fun truly begins today with Microsoft and Bethesda.

Colin Moriarty

I never played the first one. The people in my life who played it didn't seem too keen on it, so I never really paid attention to it.

Colin Moriarty

Thank you. That's very high praise!

Colin Moriarty

Hahaha. It's totally ridiculous.

Colin Moriarty

It's truly unbelievable.

Colin Moriarty

Thank you so much for your support!

Colin Moriarty

Thank you. =)

Colin Moriarty

Anthem is going to be interesting. There are three major questions with it: 1.) Will it hit its release date? 2.) Will people hold ME:A and EA's and Bioware's other fuckery against it? 3.) Will it be fun? I'm not positive it's gonna pan out. We shall see!

Colin Moriarty

It certainly wasn't good.

Colin Moriarty

I'm hoping that Bioware offered Casey Hudson something other than money to get him to return. Perhaps he agreed to right the ship with Anthem if EA agreed to fund another game. I'd love another Mass Effect but would take a Dragon Age. If they wanted to give me Jade Empire 2 I'd love that as well. Plus a remaster of the Trilogy,

Always86

I think it probably has enough about it not to be a studio killer. I just hope they aren't putting all thier eggs in one basket and other games are further in development they Bioware are hinting.

Always86

If Anthem fails, say goodbye to Bioware

Tonys_Always_Write

Nice one! I sort of want Anthem to fail. So that Bioware doesn't focus all its time on these multiplayer experiences.

Thought it was fine. If I was grading it, I would give it a C. Andrea def helped them be a little less stale. If you're gonna announce a Star Wars game though, have something to show. Otherwise we're just sitting here thinking it's already in trouble. And while I know Anthem will come first, it woulda been cool to hear about Dragon Age.

COLIN. Holy moly, I didn't realize how much I missed you doing games _reporting_. I'd seen a couple roundups about the E3 conference, but either in the style of a straight report -- like following a bulleted list -- or a conversational analysis that's a little too long; I appreciate that you're able to answer "what happened" as well as "what does it mean" in a tight and super authoritative way.

Michael Schofield (making Audio Dramas)

Thanks for doing all these videos on each conference I can't wait to see the one's I actually care about! I agree that the EA Originals were great and the only highlight for me. That my boy JuJu from my Steelers was there;)

As someone who has been a part of a large industry presentation before, I don't envy these people. At least with my company's products, it's insurance. So it is going to be a very straightforward and to a certain demographic where financials matter. Honestly, it's expected to be somewhat boring (I find it fascinating because I love what I do.) I feel like video game presentations are much harder. Everyone wants something different and you're presenting to a diverse group of consumers. Thanks for the recap Colin. I'm excited about Bethesda and Sony over the next two days.

Jimmy Valentine

Really great stuff Colin, can't wait to hear your takes on the rest of the conferences, hope you are getting some rest tonight, the next couple days are going to be rocking!

Bryan Finck

Unravel Two was the best part of that conference. Loved & platinumed the first game.

Sean Chandler

Great Vid. I think this might be one of the best places to get E3 coverage this year if you keep this up. I can't believe EA did that C&C segment but it wasn't as bad as that General Egregious announcement. Lol.

Christopher Moore

The hardest part of any press conference is watching someone play a game and pretend to be genuinely surprised by what’s happening on screen. “Let’s see what’s over here! Whoa! Look out!”

Dylan

command and conquer mobile.... fuck EA

Joey Finelli

Great job Colin. Loved the breakdown of EA’s conference. Keep up the great work man. It’s much appreciated

Josh in Tampa

You pretty much summed up my thoughts about this conference! Also, your inclusion of a clip from A Conversation With Colin was hilarious lol.

Will Hahn

'Content Machine, Colin Moriarty' has a nice ring to it. CM:CM, how 'bout it? Colin, god damn, I think you hit the nail on the head with everything here. I felt exactly the same about SOS, I think it looks fantastic and very creative, and while I mean no disrespect to the developer, I wonder if just rolling a trailer would've been the better move. What's funny is that I was on the fence about Anthem, and even after they said Anthem is fully playable as a single player experience, I was able to confirm that Anthem is indeed not for me. Also, I like Andrea and I think she did the best she could with what she had, but so strictly scripted and dry conferences do not succeed just by throwing a charismatic person in front of it. I think your critique of what they showed was great, but the presentation and show itself was awful. Somehow, they just don't get what does and doesn't work when it comes to that 'cringe' factor. Looking forward to the rest of the week!

Ian (616Entertainment)

When they played a fucking mobile game on stage I literally couldn’t believe it. That Joker quote from the 89’ Batman came to mind: “This town needs an enema.” Well EA’s conference needed an enema. I’d rather stare directly into the sun for an hour than watch that again.
