Man I cringe at the idea of not being able to buy physical copies of games unless online stores drastically reduce their prices in Australia. Red Dead Redemption 2 is $100 AUD on the PSN store, $69 AUD from JB HI-FI at launch sounds much more appealing.

Have no fear for spider-man. Sony exclusives have a tremendous track record this generation and insomniacs core titles have always been extremely fun and polished games. Difference now is that they have a widely know IP to work with, which can only be a good thing. Wont be quite GOTY level but 9.0 minimum.

I think a separate episode for reviews is warranted. If you're only talking the Sony exclusives, that's like a handful a year. Include big 3rd party games like Red Dead, maybe a couple more. But I definitely think it would be a good idea for the PlayStation exclusives. That way you guys have plenty of time to get all your thoughts out and don't have to rush through it.

I would absolutely love separate spoilercast episodes for the big 1st party releases. That said, I think you should feel free to take your time with them, as I certainly won't listen to the episodes until after I have beaten the game myself.

I played RE7 entirely in VR, including all compatible DLC (some of it was 2D only). The control scheme is super effective once you get used to it. In the “action-y” finally, I was landing headshots like John Wick. As we discussed on Fireside Chats, I own an HTC Vive, but despite the stronger hardware and more advanced room scale, RE7 on PSVR is still to this day, my most engaging VR experience.

Hi Colin great episode as always. Unfortunately I have one issue though, I feel we need to up the babies sacrifices to Knockback as well. I feel that just the one baby sacrifice before Sacred Symbols might not be enough. Hopefully you can take my constructive criticism into consideration.

Thank you for reading my question as well. Though it did go in a direction I wasn’t intending. I didn’t really mean visual novels but more Japanese games such as the Ys series, or Legend of Heroes or even the Atelier RPG series. These are made by smaller game companies and in some cases published by bigger companies such as Koei Tecmo etc. Not the biggest budgets but have some very interesting mechanics or stories not normally told

Thank you for reading my question! An interesting notation to add — I do purchase my games from Best Buy as they have a program that gives you 20% all games. So for me, when September rolls around and games are rolling out almost weekly, I usually pay about $50 per game after taxes — and that little bit helps out when I'm usually buying 4-5 games during Q4.

I don't think if the next gen will be all digital yet. For that you'd need for everyone to have internet and believe it or not people yet don't. I know this is just a single case from personal experience, but my coworker doesn't have internet but bought a PS4 for her son. The only way they can play games is through retail copies. I tell her she's a cavewoman for not having internet but I'm sure she's not the only one who does things that way.

Escalation was already a Bethesda/Zenimax studio, it’s just now specifically a BGS studio, under Todd Howard. Also, Avalanche was recently acquired by Nordisk so another sale would seem unlikely? Do separate episodes only if you both have plenty to say. Don’t put out a Spider-Man or Red Dead episode just because you think people want it. The majority of listeners want to hear your genuine impressions. If that adds up to more than an hours worth of a discussion, then go for it. If anything less, then just incorporate it into the normal episode, maybe put it at the end if you want to discuss spoilers.

The Glacier white PS Vita is great but especially the 'Pearl white PSP' is imo the best looking console, shimmering small crystal white, beautiful. I would pay extra if the PS4 or PS5 also got that treatment.
