It does take a while to ramp up, but with so much content and so much to do, it makes sense that it'd take it slow. At least in my opinion.

So the game so far is good. The visuals are absolutely incredible. However, the opening is soooo slow! I also hate when they have tutorial text pop up in the upper left corner while you’re riding your horse and trying to listen to a conversation between Arthur and whoever. My brain can’t focus...It’s like I got a pretzel in my head! Good review.

Yeah I agree I never even look at the comments because of how toxic people are usually but since it got a 10 I was curious what people were saying about it.

This was a very good review of the game. It was funny I was reading the IGN comments for this game and they gave it a 10. A lot of people were ripping the reviewers there now saying they only trusted certain reviewers there and they mentioned your Last of Us review which apparently is one of the most respected reviews there.

I played for two hours and really enjoy it. And it hasn't even opened up yet. It does feel clunky, but I actually kind of enjoy it. It's more realistic to me that way. Everything I play seems to be very fluid, sensitive and hyper fast. I appreciate the change in pace. 👍

The thing you touched on at the end is the thing I worry about that takes me out of it. I know going into rockstars games I’m not playing a good person, but it still doesn’t mean I want to kill everyone. Still preloaded on my PS4 though.

Great review. I don't know what it is about Rockstar games these days, but no matter how glowing their receptions, I just can't find it in me to care. I'd say I don't care about the Wild West for a setting, but I didn't care about GTAV either. A lot of it might have to do with the characters. If I can't get behind and care for the characters, I just don't care in general. I really didn't care for how Witcher controlled, but I played the whole thing and really liked it because I really liked Geralt, Ciri and Yen.

Regarding your critique of not being able to play passively: - Rockstar heroes of the open world variant don't walk away clean. Even Jimmy Hopkins by the time the game is over if you complete it 100% has fought and beaten almost every single member of the male students and some of the kids in the surrounding town, has vandalized or destroyed/damaged hundred of thousands if not a few million in property, take pictures of a teen girl in the shower and allowed them to be posted up, commited at least 3 story required counts of out right theft, has broken into a mental health facility, unleashed all patients and helped one directly escape. Then there's the flaming dog poop, helping the lunch lady date rape a guy, and so many other things. While Jimmy Hopkins is one of the better playable characters from rockstar in terms of motive and action that's still a lot of horrible crap.
