CoA Announcement
Added 2024-09-04 05:40:41 +0000 UTCHiya guys. I've been working on CoA for something like 8 years, on and off. And I've loved the project, just making a game and making it fun to play and watching it evolve, along with the sprites that are adorable and the amazing music Cilantro did for us. In all that time we've gotten a lot of support, a lot of love, a good amount of feedback and overall, it's been a fun ride.
Yet, as its solo developer, working on a fan game has obviously kept my focus away from what's much more important, which is a sustainable income and a project that I can call my own and get me to where I want to be in my life. With that said, I'm going to announce that the next update I've been working on will be the last for CoA.
It's not an easy decision to make, but I'm honestly happy with how the game's turned out so far, and even though this is the end of active development for the game, it's not necessarily the end of CoA forever. When things are easier for me, especially financially, I'd like to come back and work on it some more, as a passion project that I've loved for all these years.
So, once the update is out, depending on how things go, I might temporarily or permanently close this patreon. I do intend to work on a new project, so maybe I'll just keep it going and promote that and show you guys what I'll be working on. Even so, PokeBuns too was a bit of a major misstep in my life. As it's another IP that doesn't belong to me that I can't profit on. I have so much love and passion for Pokemon and Sonic as series that everything I do I want to involve those things haha, but unfortunately I just can't make any money doing that. It's totally fair, but ugh!
So.. thank you to everyone who has stuck with me, or has supported me in general, for one month, for eight years, for any amount of time. I'll be working on that last update, so stay tuned for news on that. Aside from that, I have some art I need to catch up on so for those who enjoy the art here, you guys have that to look forward to soon. <3

I'd love to see what people do with the project if it's out of my hands and into someone else's, but I have my doubts that anybody would take it over, haha. I think people would most likely work on their own project with the assets, which would be totally fine, if that's the case. I'll think it over. At the very least, I can release the sprites so that people can make their own RPG games with the four girls. I'd love to see that.
