2021-11-08 05:00:57 +0000 UTCHey Dukes! A follow up question from the show. Matty expressed that he really dislikes the premium early access packages for Forza Horizon and Halo Infinite. News articles releasing on Saturday indicated more than 1M players were active in the early access period. So it seems like an effective strategy. Only crazy people or PlayStation fanboys wouldn’t agree that Game Pass is the best value in gaming. But we also all suspect that game pass is not yet profitable for Xbox. So, what monetization strategies would you be comfortable with Xbox using to help support their investment in 1st party games? To me a premium package for one week early access doesn’t distract from the Game Pass value proposition. What say the Dukes? What ways are you comfortable with Xbox monetizing beyond subscriptions?

Remember that leaked doc from epic v Apple had stalker 2 as only a 3 month exclusive. They seem to care more about getting it into game pass rather than lock it down. Blair witch was also only a 3 month exclusive.

In celebrating Xbox, it makes sense to bring this title in (via EA Play) in this moment, as the franchise started on the 360 :) If not, missed opportunity because we know it'll come to Gamepass at *some point.* PS @Cog, salute for team ME2
