I think the premium add-on pack has been successful because it is 'more' than early access. Getting access to two future DLC packs, for an already complete & competent game, in itself may justify ~$40 just based off Playground's previous outings. I think of it as just buying a "Season Pass," which I feel is an acceptable practice (assuming the game launched as a complete product!!! important caveat). The early access, car pack, car pass. VIP pass etc. I just view as the cherries on top that accompany this pass. IDK how this could be pulled off with Halo, given the Multiplayer is free-to-play and supposedly Story add-ons in the future will be free..? Perhaps allow folks to do a "first-year plan" - where you pay for the first 4 seasons of multiplayer battlepasses (3 months per season, 4 seasons per year, supposedly) at an up-front cost, which also gives you early access and some cosmetic perks. I could see them selling this for like $30-40 and it wouldn't be egregious for folks who would have bought the battlepasses anyway. Just a thought!
