Thanks. =)

Very cool I always liked Shovel Knight but I wasn't aware of your history with this game and I find that info very interesting

Blake Wall

That's very well said.

What I love about Shovel Knight is how it feels like the perfecting of 8-bit gaming conventions wrapped into a single package. It's a love letter, a museum, and a blueprint. When someday in the future I want to my daughter the best of classic game ideas, we have some of the originals, but this game is a polished all-in-one interactive diorama of the greatest hits of that era :)

My first ever game was Centipede on the Atari 2600 in the very early 80s, but as Nintendo were not as big here in the UK, the MS was the console that brought me into gaming.

Sorry my phone was being glitchy.

Ah, a Master System kid! A rarity... but a welcome one.

Colin Moriarty

Wrong video, but yes. =)

Colin Moriarty

That would be awesome.

Really enjoyed this episode. Never been much of a retro player, but after hearing this I purchased Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove. It immediately made me think of Rastan and Psycho Fox on the SEGA Master System, which, aside from Alex Kidd (built in) and the secret Snail Trail game, were the first two 8 bit games I owned.

Phil Jenkins

It would have been hilarious if you started off with: (in a serious tone) "Hi Vince, mind if I call you Vinnie?" As an ice breaker 😆

Michael Size

If Koei Tecmo was ever cool with it, and you had the money for it, Lillymo should definitely do a Ninja Gaiden game.

Brandon Soto

Yesssssss One of my fav games of the last decade!

Jack Sibert

Awesome! It's truly wonderful, glad you're jumping back in.

Great episode. It's inspired me to give it a bash again (haven't played it in a few years) and I've beat a few stages fairly fast. Haven't touched any of the dlc before and it's nice that it's just been included automatically!!
