2022-02-11 20:17:37 +0000 UTCHey again, Colin, don't hate me but Ron Moore is pretty open about not having any plan for the direction of the series, or an ending, it was pretty serendipitous that some things clicked into place at the end. Like how they always said in the opening "And they have a plan". Then they retconned that in The Plan movie by saying their plan was that they have no plan, which I thought was pretty funny. They didn't even know what "Earth" would be until breaking the final season. Their original ending was the Galactica arrives in present day and the US president nukes the ships and kills them all 😂 One mistake he pointed out was when they came up with the idea for the final 5, they realised they made a mistake because there's only meant to be 12 models, but the Boomer model is model #8, and she's not one of the final 5, so they had to make up a plot how there was originally 13 models and the missing model was one called Daniel, he was discontinued (or boxed) by Cavill, which actually helped the story in the end, it showed how jealousy and petty Cavill is. I always appreciated that even though they winged the story, they were clever enough to work with writing on the fly and make it satisfying.
