I have filmed hundreds of weddings in my life, and I can assure you that, yes, people still bump Michael.

A band that still makes albums that matter is King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. A mix between prog rock and art rock. They've tackled so many different concepts at this point, from their microtonal albums, they're bubble gum synth album Butterfly 3000, infinite loop of Nonagon Infinity, and the masterpiece (in my opinion) concept album Murder of the Universe. Definitely a band to check out. One of the best places to start would be Sketches of Brunswick East, an album they made with smooth jazz artist Mild High Club. But if you want something heavy, their climate-oriented thrash metal album Infest the Rats' Nest. Also, to note they take pride in providing colourful runs of all their vinyls. I could talk forever about this band. A beacon of art in rock music in these trying times.

IMO, the Beatles probably wouldn't have been as popular if they changed any of the main 3 out. They might have been able to trade Ringo out, but it might have still suffered. Paul McCartney is the pop side, John Lennon is the avant garde side, and George is the more ethereal side, and the three of them pulling against each other made them better than any one or two of them would have been alone. Ringo? He's there to make sure the songs actually end eventually and don't just meander forever. Thriller was probably the only MJ album that I listened to as a kid, just because there was so little music that managed to reach the rural area I lived. I thought it was pretty solid back then.

Thank you!

So excited to have more music topics! Loved the one album/one episode format. Would be great to see more artists and albums covered in this style. Great episode, y’all!

Paul Waltz

Fair enough.

Can’t wait for the Bad episode, although Off The Wall deserves one as well.

Hey Dooks, With Decima slowly becoming a large proprietary engine for Sony (with Horizon and Death Stranding and potentially more in the future) do we think that Xbox will utilize the IdTech engine for more games in the future? I'd imagine it would save on costs for Unreal licenses, or is IdTech not fleshed out enough to deliver true next gen visuals like what we saw in Hellblade 2. Have a "walking upstairs with friends until you roll your ankle and embarrass yourself by being in pain momentarily" kind of day

That's interesting. I taught myself how to play open-handed, so I would have been comfortable at a left-handed kit. However, when I started taking lessons in middle school, I was quickly shuffled to playing cross-handed on a right-hand kit.

In regards to ringo, the get back documentary is a must watch you can see him drumming his ass off. He holds his own pretty well, and a lot of the songs have his own drumming twist since he’s a left handed drummer playing a right handed kit, he leads with his left hand so he has to play certain songs in his own unique way to compensate for that. It’s pretty cool how such a thing changes how the kit sounds
