2022-05-20 15:10:42 +0000 UTCI’m not sure why but while playing Gears Of War back in the day, a longtime friend and I opined that we would love to see that style of cover-based shooter reskinned with GI Joe characters. Another idea I had was a more adult oriented version of Skylanders with GI Joe in place of the whimsical animals we all have come to know. I know that was a diabolical cash grab but if the game itself were high quality I would have been in to it. Although I will admit, a side scroller would be more likely to be good.

I have 50+ action figures with all the accessories in good condition. Some vehicles and other random stuff. Something that explains why exactly developers seem to be flocking to unreal engine. Maybe touch on machine learning and AI again and the practical application now that we've gotten things like the GTA remastered trilogy.

I would love to hear about these games. If there is not much to say in one whole episode then you can talk about two games in one.

We chose when we voted for the “right people” who have failed to codify it after all these opportunities, I don’t see how the states will give women a better shot. Good episode tho!

The same goes for anything political. I don’t need video games publishers giving me their opinion, I can form my own. However, if you do support them making these kinds of statements when they backup your viewpoint, you have to accept it when they don’t, or are even just neutral. The reaction to Jim Ryan is predictably pathetic. Anyway, keep up the great work Colin!

2022-05-14 23:39:25 +0000 UTCRight on. There are certain nuances conservatives just can't grasp, and never will it seems. The stark difference between Liberals and "The Left" being one of them. Another thing many people aren't seeing is that the only side of the abortion debate that respects the other's position is the pro-choice position. To believe that abortion is wrong is perfectly fine and is inherently respected by the pro-choice position. Don't want an abortion? Don't get one. Sally got an abortion? Maybe it was a choice between a baby or her home. But the lesson at the heart of this is that it is Sally's business, and Sally's alone. However, to actively make legal moves in an attempt to ban abortions (or to divvy out authority on whether or not can be banned at all) is inherently disrespectful of the other side. So of course we pro-choicers are angry and upset. This was settled law. But let's regress for the hell of it, why not? Let's allow a bunch of men with perhaps 20 years left on their ticker and little grasp of the public's interests to dismantle necessary healthcare for women for the country's foreseeable future because of...*checks notes*...their opinions While we're at it, let's remove what little required sex education we have in the states? I feel it's important my future nephew has the choice between learning about safe sex or getting some poor girl pregnant before she's eligible to drive. Hey, maybe then she won't have to worry about taking on student debt! She can start working early in life and pull herself up by her bootstraps and earn her family's right to survive like a good American should. That's what respect is all about isn't it? We have to earn it.

I previously had followed the game via their Discord, but they've refrained from posting on there since the invasion... instead posting on "Telegram," which just didn't work on my computer so I haven't bothered to follow-up on it. (Edit - got on there, nothing substantial about release outlook... just some generic 'we love our fans' and 'this game is gonna be great' kinda posts)

2022-05-14 19:27:12 +0000 UTCPersonal story time. My mom suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder. It’s much like being bipolar but the mood swings happen at a much more rapid pace. Because of this and living in abject poverty my childhood wasn’t the greatest. My brother was diagnosed with cancer at 5 and my mother used him as an attention getter for herself. Going so far as to grift money from people. This left me and my other brother feeling left out and put a rift between us and our brother who had just suffered through cancer and was now had the capacity of a 2 year old. About this time my mother started drinking and turned mean. From the time I was 11 until I moved out at 16 I was both physically and mentally abused by my mother. She would stab me with a fork and hit me with anything she could find and tell me if I ever touched her I would be an abusive piece of shit like my dad(which he never actually did touch her but that’s what I was always told growing up). But the mental abuse was for sure the worst part. Her favorite insults were that I was “a serial killer waiting to happen” because I had no friends with my social issues she caused and lived in a house that put horders to shame. “A waste of my fathers sperm” was also pretty fucked up. I was told weekly that if she had known what kind of kid I was going to be she would have aborted me. All of that is to say my life is fantastic now. I’m a dad to a great little girl. My wife is an amazing woman who also happens to be a doctor. I was able to get custody of my brother and helped him turn his life around. I know this probably isn’t the most fitting place to put this but I’m pro life because of my childhood. I respect those who don’t agree with me but I really hope this might change even one persons mind that not every person who feels the same as I do is automatically evil.

I think you nail it on the head regarding people making up their entire personalities based on their political opinions and beliefs. I definitely see some it here in Chicago.
