The setup is classic horror fare: Some late-teen counselors looking for one last night-of-fun get a whole lot more than they bargain for. But underneath Supermassive's newest choice-based adventure is a different sort of project from what they've delivered in the past, something more accessible and filmic, though still familiar for fans of their brand. We've gathered Sacred Symbols' core trio-plus-one to dissect our experiences across the 10 chapters of bloody, chaotic, sometimes-too-visually-dark havoc of The Quarry, and encourage you to play it for yourself before you listen. After all, there are spoilers galore in these here woods.

A lot of people that didnt like man of medan is bc the ending but if you know the real life story its based on i think its pretty cool. I think its the only one based directly on a real story too. I agree Ashes is by far the best tho. Personally little hope is the weakest to me but still enjoyed it. Hope you enjoy them colin

2022-06-27 00:49:15 +0000 UTCPlayed on PC, had no bugs, though lighting can seem a bit weird. Also, like many said, Emma's mouth seems a bit unnatural and in contrast Abi which is virtually flawless. It is totally true that (like what happened with Colin), if you make some key bad decisions or miss QTEs or some characters die and if you don't find some Tarot cards, you can miss out A LOT on any explanations for what is happening, making the ending abrupt and unsatisfying. I only got a complete picture on my 2nd playthrough. BTW @Colin: played all Supermassive games, all Quantic Dreams games, I feel like House of Ashes is the best of the Dark Pictures Anthology so far. I would recommend starting with that for fear of not liking Man of Medan and giving up. I liked Medan ok, Little Hope I liked a little less, but Ashes blew me away, honestly - the setting is awesome and the way events unfold, mixing many layers of past, was really engaging.

The camper plot line is alright, but the story with Travis, Laura, and the Hackett’s is awesome. In large part due to the performances I always play these games multiple times so I feel I got my money’s worth.

Killed all the Hacketts since it was more messy and fun lol I would rank this game below the Dark Picture games but I still enjoyed it(I like all the Dark Picture games).

I replayed the chapter because I knew it fucked up my ending, as killing Chris was the main objective of the game. Really funny that Colin seemed to have no idea what happened in that sequence and its magnitude to the events of the game.

2022-06-25 16:16:20 +0000 UTCFWIW I posted in the Gaming_leaks reddit while the episode was under pay wall that you leaked Super Massive’s next game. A mod took it down cause there was no link (due to paywall) and argued that it wasn’t under paywall. After coming to the conclusion that it actually was under paywall, the mod still kept the post down and mentioned how they aren’t doing you LSM any favors after “hostility” over a previous post under paywall (I think Dustin explained that was him politely asking them to remove the link). So just a head up to anyone using that reddit. They aren’t concerned with crediting the leaker if they don’t fit in the echo chamber. Fucking clowns clearly double as Returd Era mods as well.
