Defining Duke Ultimate, Episode 76 | Our Top 3 Most Anticipated Xbox Game Pass Games

It's a slower week and with interview targets in limbo, Cog and I dug into the stash for a "rainy day" topic. After the Xbox & Bethesda showcase, we got a nice look at the roadmap of significant Day One Game Pass games. Certainly, the service has many surprises in store for us and these lists could change, but we feel pretty confident about it! So, individually we compiled our lists and set only one stipulation: No Starfield. With that, it's time to share our lists!

Ok, cool story bro. Back to reviewers that have a hard on for Microsoft. Maybe instead of going off a metacritic from which was held up by the woke reviewers of California, play the games. I actually played both forza and halo and both were incomplete, forza being it’s online functionality and being incredibly dumbed down and woke at every “turn” and then halo with no coop or forge that are both still missing from the game. Unacceptable and if it wasn’t for the 3 months $1 subs on PC I wouldn’t of gave two fucks about either game. Maybe lay off the weed, it’s quite an enhancer of video games. Btw which one are you, lazy or untalented?

That was easily the dumbest comment I've read today lol. Go read Metecritic. Xbox broke Metacritics record for highest reviewed publisher in the websites history last year. Smoke some weed kid. You have problems.

Great episode, Dukes! Regarding interviews - reach out to Raphael Colantonio. Former founder of Arkane left to make WolfEye Studios. Matty played their debut game Weird West. I could be wrong but I suspect this game under performed for (now publicly traded) Devolver Digital. They would probably love to get some eyes back on this game. Maybe see what he knew or thought of Death Loop, why he left, etc. Good luck finding people. I’ll listen every week either way.

I think Microsoft problem is lack of talent and wants to be everyone friend, so they won’t make the hard decision and shutdown 343 and give a competent team Halo. But the sad fact is maybe they don’t have anyone better. They’ve been doing halo for over a decade and halo infinite for prolly 4 of them and they are getting worse with each game is seems. It’s no wonder studios are trying to unionize, because if you can’t make it on your skills then have a union protect the lazy and untalented. How many years will it take before this supposed payoff we are getting won’t matter anymore. Covid isn’t an excuse and as a person that has gone into work every day and did my job wonders what makes those that didn’t and still don’t want to, so special? Quit being lazy in disguise of fear. On the Sony side, you got VR development and a revolutionary controller in the duelsense. What are the employees that Microsoft and their teams doing with their time? It sure isn’t making quality games on day one. If I was Microsoft I’d fire the whole lot of them and get passionate, fresh talent that want to make games and only games. I’m sure there are tons of them looking to make an impact
