Defining Duke, Episode 82 | Is Ubisoft The Next Target For Xbox?
Added 2022-07-28 16:01:04 +0000 UTCNews has begun to roll out of Ubisoft that shows them sprinting in multiple different directions at once. From the platform based live service Assassin's Creed game to a tighter and less expansive entry in the series all the way to a heaping four games cancelled, a lot is happening for them and not much of it sounds good. As we have historically seen, Xbox can sweep in when these companies are going through the worst of times. With Lord Acquisition at my (Matty) side, I wanted to tackle the subject of if this is a fit. Otherwise, EA continues their somewhat staggering turnaround as they are producing a single player Black Panther game which may beg the question; is there a more impactful game to a company then Jedi Fallen Order? It's tough to imagine what, but it's success has allowed the winds of change to blow through EA. Beyond that, we have more crocs shenanigans and Halo Infinite gets beat up for the millionth time.

Matty, hope you continue to recover. I threw out my back 5-6 years ago. I was cleaning the inside of my car, with a lot of bending over. I felt a slight twinge in back, but ignored it because I was so close to being done cleaning. I bent over to take the a floor mat out of my car, something in my back popped, and I fell to the ground like a sack of potatoes. It was the most painful thing I have ever felt. It felt like I had a knife in my back. I could barely walk and basically crawled back into my house. I should have, but never went to the doctor. I spent several days in bed trying to recover. I still do not know exactly what happened, but I now have a rib in the middle of my back that sort of floats and moves when I press on it. So, anyone, if something doesn't feel right, stop whatever you are doing and rest. Whatever you're doing isn't worth the pain and later side effects.

And to Cog’s point, I’m not boycotting it but I went from a Day 1 purchase when I thought it’d be 2’s gameplay to a complete skip when I saw the actual gameplay. The Matty heel turn. I never even thought of that. 😄 #BackDD

2022-08-01 02:15:16 +0000 UTCPrey is overrated, especially by Chris. BioShock is a masterpiece in setting and atmosphere, but I prefer 2’s gameplay and Infinite’s story. Each entry succeeds in its own way. A BioShock remake with things like vaulting and sliding and maybe even wall running would be interesting.

I know you're outspoken about their current anti-consumer practices but my man if you weren't a Nintendo kid (and I believe you said you weren't) then you missed some bangers that are revered in the gaming community. Give some of them old Nintendo games some love on Retro Rebound!

Barbell training is a bitch, but I love it. That one small lapse in form and your tweak your back. Have done it a number of times.
