Man I loved this episode. I have a ton of guides still. I have almost a complete set of Nintendo Powers and going back through them has been a trip. His guides are amazing. Looking forward to his newsletter! Reminds me of the Nintendo Fun Club issues they used to send before Nintendo Power came out.

Enjoyed the episode, despite not caring about strategy guides very much, lol. I do have quite a few of the collector's edition guides from the 2010s, hehe. Colin, any plans to bring Tom back for some updates on emulation for PS3? With Dustin talking about the lack of new updates to PS+ Premium lately, plus the price increase, and the announced 2023 release for PSVR2, I think it's a good time!

This is definitely something that would be nice.. nothing like using a physical book to plan out how you wanna do things or get tips.. Saturday morning coffee and favorite game with a nice book. No phone or video guide...I remember picking through mgs2 with a guide a few years ago. Always enjoyable.

Future Press seems to still be fighting the good fight. I have their coveted Elden Ring guides on preorder. They are releasing two volumes to compensate for the sheer size of that game. They also did the Horizon guides and the other From games like Sekiro and Bloodborne.

I loved this episode. There was nothing like having that crisp new strategy guide full of maps and great artwork to supplement your games. I use video guides a lot now but they don't hold the same magic that flipping through the pages of a guide used to.

I miss poring over a brand new guide for a newly released game so much, this speaks to me. Bring back the guides! Still purchasing what little there is available though the slow trickle of future press guides.

I lost all of my Pokémon Prima guides. I definitely wanna rebuy them again in the future. Also, I’m tired of Nintendo going after their fans when it comes to passion projects and mods. Other companies like Valve would congratulate & hire these people.
