Sacred Symbols, Episode 49: Reimagining Warfare
Added 2019-06-05 16:00:05 +0000 UTCIt's the week before E3, and all through LA, games keep on leaking much to publishers' dismay. A third Watch Dogs is coming. New Destiny DLC, too. And Modern Warfare's being rebooted, though that one didn't leak, it's true. So to welcome E3, we thought we'd cook up a game. One that replaces 'Predictions,' which have become stale and lame. "Fill in the blank!" Colin loudly declared. "Tell me your thoughts, Ray Gun, and your life will be spared!" With all he could muster, Chris gathered his might: "Doom Eternal will win E3, or your soul I shall smite!" Colin looked puzzled, and meekly added, "I can't control that, Chris, like those Nintendo scores that are padded." And so Sacred Symbols preps for gaming's big week, with all of the info and news that you seek. We suppose that's no different than your normal week, though. So enough of all of that: Let's get on with the show.

I think we can agree on this......Bethesda had one of the worst conferences of all time. Why do they keep showing up? It's literally useless. How much money do they spend to just show a bunch of mobile games? Very strange year for E3 imo. Barely any gameplay from any new games. Sony got ahead of the curve would you agree? Seems they knew E3 2019 was going to be a slight dud. 2020 E3 seems like the big one

If Xbox doesnt show heavily single player games then this E3 is a failure. The reason they are in this position is because they solely focused on online experiences. Man that's a shame to waste Ninja Theory on multiplayer. Not a good start.

2019-06-07 22:14:59 +0000 UTCColin the iTunes app is split into 3 different apps, Apple Podcast, Apple Music, and Apple TV app. These apps were separated on iOS for years, they are just doing the same to Mac OS. Your podcast review will not be affected at all. iTunes was bloated and needed to be reworked. Bitter sweet, but it's for the better.

Say what you will about how you two may personally end up liking the game, I will garuntee it scores AT LEAST a 90 overall on metacritic and will sell 10 million units by next year. Kojima does not make bad games. Not talking personal opinion. I am speaking overall critical reception. From MGS1 to MGS5 Kojima games have never averaged below a 90. That's Chris Nolan or Tarantino movie. It may not be the best Tarantino movie, but it's still a Tarantino movie if that makes sense lol.

2019-06-06 19:57:31 +0000 UTCI got to say, the whole "I dont understand" Death Stranding narrative is very cliche and tropey at this point. Its is increasingly simple to understand the concept of what Kojims is making. Obviously the most inner workings of the story will remain a mystery until we play it, but the overall plot is extremely self explanatory. Theres nothing confusing about the babies or any of that. It was all pretty clearly laid out in the trailer. I think people are really taking away what Kojima tries to do by saying the tag-line " it makes no sense". It actually makes tons of sense if you just try and understand. The game is incredibly story driven. Kojima has already made that clear. The multiplayer stuff you guys are referring to is not the story. The player to player aspect is asynchronous along the line of Dadk Souls.

2019-06-06 02:20:16 +0000 UTCCall of Duty is the most consistent franchise out there. The games rarely have major technical issues. Everything is high quality. The FPS gameplay is better than 95% of other FPS. Multiplayer is fun. Is it some pure realistic experience? No, but it’s fun and that is all that matters. The only Call of Duty that I did not have a great experience with was Ghosts from 2013. Something about it just felt off. I did not get Call of Duty between 2014-2016, mostly due to Destiny taking way too much of my time. I’ve recently went back to each of those entires I missed (Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3, Infinite Warfare) and have been so impressed by the polish and quality of these games. I love 2017’s WWII, and truly think that BO4 is a tremendous all around shooter with an abundance of focused content. In a weird way, these games are under appreciated, at least in online gamer spheres/cultures. Obviously they still demand respect as far as sales charts is concerned.

Maybe they can't afford a console atm and/or they travel a lot. Bring the games to them. If your controllers can connect, why not your games?

The only exception was MGSV and that was because his team spent good amount of time creating the fox engine. Kojima also said he already had the game in his head before he even started at sony. This is one of those times when I would actually disagree with Colin on the delay. Kojima's past games have always had a level of polish that not that many had so I don't thing there should be anything to worry about for ds.
