I know it wasn’t everyone’s favorite game, mainly due to its gameplay and progressive narrative... But it’s probably the most emotional gaming experience I’ve ever had.

2019-08-01 16:02:21 +0000 UTCFor me MGS3 and final battle with the Boss is one of the most emotional moments. Have an odd one in one of my favourite games from PSX - Vandal Hearts. Ending cut scene with Ash sacrificing himself followed by ending credits marks the first time ever when the game made me cry.

In no real order, I'd need to include: -Last of Us (Opening scene but even more so, the surgery scene and then there's the lie at the end... Oh and Tess' last stand - This one is in order. This was powerful as fuck) - Gone Home (Played it on PC - I think it was so emotionally impactful because the horror themes set it up to blindside me) - Gears of War (2?) (Dom being reunited with Maria and then his last stand. Fucking awesome) - God of War (PS4) (When Atreus gets sick the tension of the walk with him and the boat ride is a tremendous mix of emotions, followed by the release when you get the blades - Just excellent Game Design IMO).
