But some especially talented and hard-working people are able to make this dream a reality, many on a part-time basis. Today's guest -- Eldar Basic -- recently published a young adult sci-fi book, and he asked to come on Fireside Chats to talk about the experience, particularly from the point-of-view of someone who isn't (yet) making a full-time living as a writer. I think it's a great addition to the mix if it is possible to resurrect using a remote method/technology. If not, it's been a great ride! I really like this style of content and I have listened to every single one.

I have been a part of many creator's audiences throughout the years and there were definitely some where I didn't feel like I was taken seriously, where the audience wasn't something the creator looked towards for accountability and very much felt like we were just a number they wanted to increase. I so much more appreciate the way you see us (the audience). We support you both with our time and our money, we take you seriously and we respect the effort you put into all your podcasts each week. To see that level of respect reflected back to us from you really makes me proud to continue supporting you and being part of the CLS family. Your hard work and dedication to consistency and to all things CLS is not for nothing, we see you, and I'm sure there are many like me who are inspired in our own ways thanks to how much you put into your craft, thanks Colin.

I remember when it first started and thought it was so cool to hear a podcast every week where every episode could be completely different from the last, and each guest you’ve had on has been nothing short of great. This episode was fantastic and inspiring. Thanks for allowing us the pleasure of experiencing this wonderful branch of CLS, regardless of its short lifespan, and may it’s flame last forever in spirit. Cheers, dude.
