On the subject of parents gaming my mum plays ps1 to this day. Her favourites are bust a move 2, pandemonium and tetris she says it keeps her brain firing on all cylinders. And if you ever met her you could attest to that she's still the funniest person I know. It's nice having a parent who's a boomer that gets why I play games and isn't disparaging like most of her generation.

Haven’t listened to this weeks episode in full, nor the Death Stranding Spoilercast, but I wish Colin and Chris would use the standard episode to review the game (spoiler-free) like other outlets do and then the actual Spoilercast to touch on the interesting reveals, and their thoughts on the twists and turns and all that comes with a deep dive into the characters, ending, and general lore. Sacred Symbols is definitely my favorite gaming podcast along with Bombcast but feel they do Spoilercasts I’m not the greatest way...they seem to be more personal takes on whether they liked the game, which is fine but then rely on fan emails to talk about the game.

Not a correction necessarily, but I think it's important to note that Bully 2 hasn't come out yet because the original developers of Bully, Rockstar Vancouver, were merged with Rockstar Toronto after the release of Max Payne 3. The only two games developed under the Rockstar Vancouver name were Bully and Max Payne 3.

To be fair they have just scaled the res up on Resi 4 instead of a full remake as the game play still holds up. Resi 2 and 3 were made using the "tank" control scheme and don't really play well these days so a remake is more justified.

I think Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece and should be left untouched. I can't really think of a way to improve the game... Perhaps the final chapter can be a bit more horror-filled and less actiony but that's about it. I know a remake may be inevitable after R3 but idk... Can't really say I want it

The topic of parents playing video games always makes me remember how in the early 2000s I got my mom to try Advance Wars 2 on the GBA. I figured my mom’s affinity for strategy board games like chess and Stratego would mean that the game was right up her alley. Fast forward a few years, and my mom has an ‘S’ rank in every war room map in the game. I’d be willing to wager that even some hardcore strategy gamers in Japan haven’t completed some of those maps with the highest rank — they’re brutal.

Colin - Half Life 2 is my favorite video game of all time. I'm not dismayed by the next game being something other than Half Life 3 at all. The main installments of this franchise have always represented some kind of leap in video games (HL1: uninterrupted storytelling in 3d worlds, HL2: physics) and this next one is hopefully a huge advancement in VR. But because this leap is so fundamentally different, I think Valve wants to first show us what they can do with it - to convince us why the final chapter of this series (HL3) should be in this format.

They mentioned the name of the SS game. I know they can't for trademark reasons but i hope they name it Sacred Symbols: a PlayStation game.....and proceed to release it on switch and Xbox. I don't know why I find this so funny.

I believe someone has written in about this before but maybe chris forgot. You don’t need to buy a chrome cast, or the controller, or be subscribed to their service Stadia Pro to use Stadia. You can just use your computer/laptop with any controller and buy individual games. You’re limited to 1080p 60 fps then but most PC gamers play 1080p anyway. Stadia Pro just offers 4K resolution, HDR, and some free games. So really the cost is just the games themselves, which is a lot cheaper than a console. I still agree on all the other points you made about it though haha

If you pre+ order a game on Amazon and it drops in price before release, you will get it at the new price. If it drops in price shortly after you receive it, you can call Amazon customer service and complain and most of the time they will credit you the difference.

Have to agree with Chris - no farting at the urinal. Worse than that, however, are people who bypass free urinals and pee all over the toilet in the stall. I'm very upset now.
