Guten tag amigos!! I'm a big Playstation fan and haven't really touched Xbox since 2012 when I sold my 360. However, I picked up a Series X along with the PS5 this year, and I gotta say I'm really impressed!! Game Pass is just unreal in terms of value. I was able to get 3 months for $1, and now when I want to buy a game on Playstation I check Game Pass and find I can just get it there for free. It's great! And I've found I'm trying a lot of different games that I wouldn't have if they weren't just available. I have $75 in unused Sony money because each game I was going purchase, I was able to just download from Game Pass. It's great getting back into the Xbox ecosystem and it turns out I have quite the backlog of games I need to play. Congrats on the new podcast and I'm looking forward to future episodes! Cheers!

I think if Bethesda games become exclusive to the Xbox brand, then that's a huge win for Microsoft and Gamepass. When it comes to the PC stuff, you gotta keep in mind that there are many people who only play on consoles, or prefer playing on console. They definitely do rely on old franchises too much though.

Everyone keeps talking about how exciting the future of Xbox looks... but I just don’t see it. As a PC player, there is absolutely zero reason to get the console (which I am grateful for). Even on the games front though, I just don’t see what there is to be excited for. Halo hasn’t been very good since Bungie left. The Bethesda deal hasn’t gone through and thus we don’t know what that’ll mean for Xbox. They keep going back to the well for the same franchises, over and over again (Fable, Forza, Perfect Dark, and other very meh franchises). What is so exciting about all of this especially considering the competition?

Hi Fellas, let me just say...Perfect Dark. A genre refining (first came goldeneye), console defining game on N64. Along comes the initiative and their so called quadriple A game. They announce they're making Perfect Dark. I make the prediction here and now that microsoft will throw everything at this one to succeed. Would like your predictions, can perfect dark refine the fps genre and define a console generation once more or will anyone even care? I for one will be following this one closely. I figure if I have a ps5 for sony and 3rd party games along with a pc to play microsofts first party games, I can't justify spending the money on the new xbox. Welcome to Last Stand, ACG! I wanted to broach a topic about money, Xbox Live, and Console vs PC. I own Halo MCC and Halo 5 digitally on console, but I haven't owned an Xbox in years. Xbox's yearly Live cost stops me from buying an Xbox. I would be more likely to buy a Series S to play Halo if the online play were free like it is on PC. Maybe this will change with Infinite being F2P, or with Live in the future. Do you think the pay-for-online is outdated, given how online play works on PC?

My question is simple, what can Microsoft do to win back mindshare in the video game space? I prefer the Xbox controller, I love game pass, it’s been a stronger console offering for 5 years, it has better cross platform play and a cloud service, all of this is true but PlayStation still has a foot on their neck. Hey Magical Matty and Knightly Karak, it's great to have you two be a part of the Last Stand family. Karak is one of, if not, THE premiere independent game reviewer on Youtube and I was introduced to Matty through Side Quest and have been smitten with his content since, especially H.A.M. So Microsoft has stated that you wouldn't need their next-gen consoles for at least the next 2 years since they plan to have their first-party games also be available on Xbox One. In contrast, Jim Ryan of Sony has famously said that they “believe in generations” which has proven to be rather flaky for certain first-party Playstation titles. Do you like this approach that Xbox is taking for their first-party titles or do you want next-gen only games to be the focus? And who do you anticipate will be the first of the two console makers to stop making cross-gen games? Thank you gentlemen, and take care.

As someone who owns a gaming PC that I've now setup in my living room and an Xbox Series X, I'm curious to see which device I end up using this generation. Microsoft is clearly blurring the line between console and PC, and my PC is more powerful than the Series X, as someone who spent their teen gaming years in the Halo gaming trilogy, I've always had an affinity for Xbox and the simplicity of the console experience. Do you see yourselves facing similar dilemmas on where to play, and do you think Microsoft may end up selling fewer consoles as PC players buy a Switch or PS5 as their console (even if they make up some of that money selling them game pass). Fellas, welcome aboard. I've owned only Playstations up to this point. I've been pretty bummed about not being able to get a PS5 but I was recently able to get an Xbox Series X as part of a Gamestop bundle. As someone who has never owned an Xbox I have to say the series X has been an awesome consolation prize. I'm especially impressed with Gamepass ($1 for the first 3 months of Gamepass Ultimate!) and the backwards compatibility (I've been able to introduce my son to Portal, one of my all time favorite games). My question is this: For those of us who have never owned an Xbox, what is your absolute must play exclusive (any generation). I’m curious what the show’s relationship will be with Microsoft/Xbox, affiliated studios, etc., going forward. We know Sony and other developers refuse to play nice with Colin and Chris (particularly because of Colin’s political views). However, that hasn’t stopped Sacred Symbols from reviewing games. It sounds like you two already have great relationships with devs, publishers, studios, etc. I’m wondering if you will use that to your advantage for the benefit of this show, or if you expect your affiliation with Colin to negatively impact those relationships going forward for your other endeavors? Hey guys here is my cyberpunk 2077 hot take. I’ve been playing the game on series x on Quality mode and have been having a decent time. While I have noticed the fair amount of bugs, on series X in my opinion it’s no where near as rough as fallout 4 was on PS4 at launch. Fallout would drop frames on me and glitch out constantly even after it was patched. I’m not saying I condone releasing a game too early but I feel like if CDPR delayed the release on last Gen consoles and just put it out on PC and next Gen they maybe could have gotten away with releasing it when they did. What do you guys think? P.S. I tried playing the game on performance mode on series x and it might run at 60fps but the game looks like absolute trash.

Sea of Thieves and State of Decay launched both in a state. Crackdown 3 sucked. Hello gents! Very excited for the podcast! Would you mind telling us what originally hooked you into the Xbox ecosystem? For me, it was going to a friend's house and getting my butt kicked in the original Halo. It was the first PvP FPS I had played since Goldeneye 64. It brought a feeling of nostalgia along with the excitement of new technology. It was the perfect game for the perfect time.

Hail first exchanger Matty and Knight commander acg. Microsoft gets hammered on all the time for not having new ip. However I feel like they also don’t use their old ip as much either and was happy to see things like fable, perfect dark, age of empires, and flight sim all are making massive comebacks. Hi guys! Really excited about this podcast in the future it brings to the Last Stand! My topic for discussion is this: why do more publishers not participate in Microsoft's play anywhere system? The handful of games that have done it I find it's truly an amazing value being able to have one save file on both the Xbox and on the PC, And being able to utilize both cross-save and potentially cross play functionality for the price of one game. Obviously there's a serious cost incursion for giving away two copies of game for the price of one but still, I can't help feel that Microsoft needs to push this aspect of their platform harder than they have.

Loved episode 0 guys!! I think this Podcast is just what Last Stand was missing! As an Xbox gamer going all the way back to the launch of the OG my question to you guys is this: which classic Xbox title do you think is the most overdue for a remake/refresh? For me it's Jet Set Radio Future. This was one of my first xbox games and I sunk hours into exploring the cities, perfecting the multiplayer, & listening to that epic soundtrack! Appreciate you guys!
