Added 2021-01-19 17:00:04 +0000 UTCWhen futuristic scholars look back on 2020, they'll no doubt remark that it was one of the best years in human history, what with the global pandemic and political anarchy and all of the other uplifting pillars of the last 365 days or so. Yet, 2020 did unironically glow in one significant way: It was a hell of a year for video games, especially on PlayStation. Thus, let's embark on one of our great Sacred Symbols traditions and bestow accolades to the year's very best offerings... and also make up a bunch of awards to give away, too. Some of those you don't want to win.

I think we are amplifying noise, though I would never argue that there are plenty of people with totally valid issues.

I think a lot of fans felt like it was a complete departure from the moral themes of the first game and felt betrayed because the story arch of both characters that they loved and had hope in came to very sad conclusion. I mean, what’s the moral of the story from LOU2? “Sadness prevails”? Lol

2021-01-24 19:41:43 +0000 UTCOpinions are opinions, and while no one can deny the beauty of the music and atmosphere of TLoU2, the story is one of the worst stories I have ever played (where story is the focus). I learned to avoid all spoilers like the plague after Force Awakens was ruined for me before release. Technically, the game is a 10/10. Acting and music, a 10/10. Story, I cannot bring myself to rate it any higher than a 3/10. The game is a 6 at best

2021-01-21 01:09:53 +0000 UTCRisk of Rain 2 came out of early access this year and it is a great game. It’s challenging, feels great to play and is rewarding on many levels. Every character feels different giving it amazing replay value and it has online co-op. I highly recommend this game to anyone.

2021-01-20 11:58:02 +0000 UTCMy number 3 would be Astros playroom. Finally getting a ps5 and feeling the potential of the dualsense was a really dope AF and unique experience. I think its this decades Wiisport. My number 2 is Halo anniversary 2 (crazy right) I bought an Xbox one x last February and I gotta admit it was because of the love chris shows for the franchise and because its Bungie i wanted to see whats in their old DNA it didn't disappoint thank you Chris 343 owes u some godamn money, oh and by the way Reach was a very close pick but Arbiter and Chief on the same game 😉 was the obvious choice. And game of the year TLOU part 2, what is and what would never be a relationship with their fathers. As a Dad this game hit me personally because I have a daughter and seeing what love can lead you to a path of revenge and hatred towards it that it blinds you and you just won't fucken stop. I was happy with the ending choice naughty dog did it was realistic and it felt right, its like life you never win you just do a little better each time. I didn't cry or felt relieved beating the game it just moved me and its a story that I guess for the time being to me, the best shit playstations put out to date. True masterpiece of a shitty ass year. Now time to finish the best game I started yast lear and didn't finish, Sunset Overdrive.
