Defining Duke, Episode 7: Xbox's Backwards Compatibility Gets A Boost

This has mostly come in the form of being able to access your games from previous generations, but this week, they made good on a promise of making those games better. By introducing an FPS boost, Xbox hopes to make those backwards compatible titles even better for you as Karak went hands on with the program and breaks down his experience. Last week brought about the conversation of Halo MCC possibly moving to a new platform, but it is much more simple than that. A custom games browser has been added and even a brand new map to Halo 3 from the canceled Halo Online! Digging deeper, Game Pass received a new haul of exciting games, some not even three months old, and the xCloud program looks to be expanding even more if reports from The Verge are to be believed. That along with Final Fantasy 14 not being on Xbox, a new wireless headset by Xbox, and much more decorate this week's Defining Duke!

1000% agree! If I can skip butter in my foods for this reason, I do. Not even Matty’s dish soap trick will cut that smell. I have to take a shower and scrub the living s#%+ out of my face to rid that smell.

2021-02-19 17:32:49 +0000 UTCHey Matty! Just wanted to write in and say that I love the show. The energy that you bring is what draws me to this podcast, so please keep that up. However I want to see the show improve and my suggestion for that would be to improve the transition game. I’m not a big fan of the “wrapping it up” and “moving on” transitions although I know they get the job done. I know that you have to be yourself but one thing that I appreciate from Colin’s way of hosting his podcasts is that his transitions are on point. I think I’ve come to expect his way of podcasting because he used to be the host of all (Colin’s) Last Stand Shows... so forgive the comparisons. Best, Jose

Like it makes sense if you haven't heard people talk about it and that's fine, but why would anyone still be playing a single player RPG (that's quite linear) about a year later now after beating it? I loved it and put the time in but I won't be going back unless there's an upgrade later, or a pc port. It's anecdotal anyway I guess, in my circle we all gush about it when it comes up occasionally.
