Popped back in here to remind you guys to watch the masterful, Blade Runner 2049. Also, this is easily one of the best episodes of knockback, which I revisit after every rewatch of the film.

Danny Kellerman

Thank you! We really had fun with this episode. Nice fact. =D <3

This episode was golden- that last hour is OUT. STANDING. Blade Runner is one of those rare films that every time I see it, I discover something new. Not just visually, but in themes and ideas as well- it was fun to hear you guys dive into that. Fun Fact: I once got a chance to meet Dave Dryer who worked on some of the VFX in Blade Runner and he told me that parts from models of the Millennium Falcon were used to create some of the buildings in those gorgeous cityscape shots. Always a pleasure listening to you guys riff- Keep up the great work!

Thank you for your kind words!

Colin Moriarty

Love this movie. As others have said the sequel is amazing. Keep up the great content. Thanks!

Marc McCoy

Thank you! I'm not sure that fits our show's motif, but we'll always go down those tangential alleyways when the topic calls for it.

Colin Moriarty

One day. =)

Colin Moriarty

No, I've not seen anything outside the original film.

Colin Moriarty

I'll have to check it out soon.

Colin Moriarty

Always a good idea with this podcast.

Colin Moriarty

Enjoy!

Colin Moriarty

Thank you. Those are fun tangents, for sure. We'll always dive down the appropriate rabbit holes when a topic calls for it.

Colin Moriarty

Glad to hear it!

I loved the last hour or so where you guys dove into history, philosophy, and futurism. It’d be very cool to have an episode occasionally that goes into topics connecting history and future and are not about a specific piece of media or nostalgia but ideas.

This movie single handedly launched my fascination of Brutalist architecture. Btw we need an episode on the sequel

Empty Symbol

Have you checked out the animes and short films that were released before 2049? They fill in the gap between the two films. The cool thing is they are all done by various artists and musicians.

Michael Maneage

2049 was the best movie released in 2017.

Highly suggest they watch Cowboy Bepop before 2049 πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

I'm going to watch the movie first and then I'll watch this

Another video version of knockback, this is almost too good. Might get in a viewing of the movie tonight to refresh myself with it again. Looking forward to checking this one out

Awesome episode. I love when you guys dive deeper into philosophical discussions, and this movie’s a great springboard for that. Colin, if the existential ideas and themes in this movie really intrigue you, I highly highly recommend you jump on the sequel, Blade Runner 2049. I think it exceeds the first in every wayβ€”visually, acting-wise, thematically, score. It’s truly a marvel of a film. Slightly too long, but other than that you’d no doubt love it.

Caleb Greer

Love these video versions. Lets me stream to my tv this way
